Our esteemed client in the Manufacturing industry is seeking an Industrial Designer/ Product Design Engineer (M&E) to join their dynamic team:
- Employment Type: Permanent
- Position: Industrial Designer/ Product Design Engineer
- Location: Kaki Bukit
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.30pm
- Salary Package: Basic + Performance Bonus
Job Responsibilities:
- Research and design innovative industrial products based on market trends, user needs, and business goals.
- Create sketches, 2D drawings, and 3D models using SolidWorks, Rhino, or AutoCAD; ensure compatibility with STL and STP formats.
- Develop product forms, materials, and finishes, ensuring full functionality and manufacturability.
- Partner with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Marketing throughout the product lifecycle.
- Prepare precise design specifications, technical drawings, and documentation for prototyping and mass production.
- Lead prototype evaluation, testing, anditerative design improvements.
- Ensure all designs meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality guidelines.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve design and production issues.
- Support cost-reduction efforts while maintaining design integrity and product quality.
- Assist in creating mock-ups, renderings (KeyShot), and presentation materials for management or client reviews.
Job Requirements:
- At least 1 year of related experience with mechanical product design. Experience with cooling towers, heat exchangers, or HVAC systems is a plus.
- Proficient in 3D design and drafting software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD, KeyShot or similar.
- Ability to produce accurate 3D models and technical drawings for engineering applications.
- Good understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturability.
