Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Dr. Xucheng Hou on the project of Construction of in vivo RNA delivery systems. The research will involve the design and evaluation of mRNA delivery systems, mRNA engineering, and preclinical studies on animal models.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
(1) Design, synthesize, and characterize lipid nanoparticles and other nanomaterials for RNA delivery.
(2) Perform molecular biology, cell culture, and biochemical assays to evaluate therapeutic efficacy.
(3) Conduct animal studies, including biodistribution, pharmacokinetics, and therapeutic efficacy evaluations.
(4) Analyze experimental data and prepare manuscripts, grant reports, and presentations.
(5) Mentor graduate and undergraduate students and contribute to laboratory management.
Qualifications / Discipline:
Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmacy, Materials Science, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, or a closely related discipline.
Skills:
Strong background and experience in:
(1) chemical synthesis, drug delivery, and RNA therapeutics.
(2) lipid nanoparticle formulation and characterization.
(3) molecular biology, cell culture, and animal studies.
(4) Experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing skills.
(5) Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
Experience:
Candidates should have a strong publication record and demonstrated research experience relevant to nanomedicine, biomaterials, RNA therapeutics, lipid nanoparticles, and in vivo preclinical models.
