The Role
Help support the planning and detailed design of clinical and non-clinical spaces, working closely with clinical users, operational teams and appointed architectural consultants!
Key Responsibilities
Support space planning and layout development for clinical and non-clinical spaces.
Conduct test fit exercises and prepare planning options for departmental spaces.
Review architectural drawings, plans, sections and layouts against approved user requirements and the Schedule of Accommodation.
Support FFE (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) planning and departmental fit-out requirements.
Attend planning and design meetings with clinical users, operational leads and consultants.
Capture user requirements and prepare clear meeting minutes, planning summaries and action items.
Track planning decisions, outstanding issues and approved changes across multiple departments.
Prepare PowerPoint presentations, design briefs, planning reports and submission documents.
Coordinate with consultants on design queries and user requirements.
Review consultant submissions for alignment with approved space planning strategies and design intent.
Support compliance with local building codes, regulations and healthcare facility design standards.
Maintain drawing registers, document control and version control for planning and design documentation.
Requirements
Minimum Degree in Architecture, Architectural Studies or a related Built Environment discipline.
Confident in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, plans, sections and layouts.
Strong understanding of space planning, adjacency, workflow and functionality.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Good knowledge of local building codes, regulations and planning requirements.
Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
Contract Details
Contract Duration: 3 + 3 months
Conversion opportunity: Potential for longer-term / permanent opportunity depending on performance
