About the team

The Global Entity Management team is focused on empowering global businesses with multiple entities to centrally manage their financial operations. We save customers time and money by enabling them to operate more efficiently and gain greater control over their global finances. This team is critical for Airwallex to win with our target customer group – global, multi-entity businesses. This function will play a vital role in building the infrastructure to support the complex financial needs of large global enterprises.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team to deliver innovative, AI-driven solutions.

• Define and drive the technical roadmap, building scalable and customer-centric products.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritise and integrate features seamlessly.

• Ensure the team delivers high-quality, secure, and performant solutions with a strong focus on user experience.

• Own the technical architecture, ensuring systems scale efficiently and handle increasing data volumes.

• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning within the team.

• Communicate technical concepts clearly to executives and stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress and risks.

• Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, including agile development, continuous integration, and automated testing.

Who you are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or above in computer science or engineering related majors. 

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.

• 2+ years of experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers.

• Strong organisational/time management skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities while working with multiple opportunities and customers.

• Strong problem-solving mindset, comfortable working with customers, partners, and the Airwallex Engineering team to develop new products and solutions.

• Executive engagement skills and presence, with an ability to establish strong relationships with key decision-makers and build credibility at all levels.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with backend technologies such as Java, Kotlin, Spring / Spring Boot. 

• Familiarity with fintech and global payment systems.

Compensation

CN¥50K – CN¥80K per month • Offers Equity • Offers Bonus

Airwallex promotes fair compensation practices in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law.

These expected base pay ranges are based on information at the time this post was generated and represent the company’s good faith minimum and maximum ranges for this role at the time of posting.

The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills and other qualifications, geographic location as noted, internal equity, and other external market factors.

Certain roles may be eligible for other compensation including, but not limited to, annual bonuses, commissions, RSUs, or other forms of compensation in addition to the established salary range.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and work location. US-based employees are eligible to participate in medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits. US-based employees also receive 20 paid days of vacation and 12 paid days of company holidays in a calendar year.
