Intern, Volunteer Management
Association of Muslim Professionals
AMP's Volunteer Management team is looking for intern to start immediately for six months. You'll help run AMP's volunteer portal and the AMPowered Mentoring programme and support our outreach events.
Key responsibilities
1. AMP Volunteer Portal
- Follow up on new volunteer applications.
- Schedule and support volunteer onboarding sessions.
- Help deploy volunteers to AMP programmes and events, and keep volunteers and programme owners updated.
2. AMPowered Mentoring (Flagship Volunteer Programme)
- Keep the mentor and mentee database up to date.
- Schedule and support online onboarding sessions for new mentors.
- Organise the monthly in-person mentoring sessions: venue, logistics, attendance and on-the-day support.
3. Outreach and events
- Support events, roadshows and recruitment booths, including setting up, engaging the public and signing people up on the spot.
- Help plan and run the quarterly volunteer networking sessions: programme, invitations, venue, logistics and follow-up.
- Help plan and run the annual Volunteer Appreciation event: guest list, awards and certificates, logistics and feedback.
4. Social media content
- Assist in creating social media content: posts, captions, reels and short videos about volunteer roles, mentor stories and events.
- Cover events with photos and videos, and post updates.
- Help plan a monthly content calendar for Volunteer Management.
Requirements
- University student (undergraduate) in Communications, Business, Marketing or a related field.
- Available for 6 months, starting immediately.
- Interested in social media and creating content.
- Open to working some evenings or weekends for events and roadshows.
- Interested in volunteerism and serving the community.
