Junior Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation, tender preparation, progress claims, and contract administration for construction projects. The role is suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with early-career experience who are interested in developing their commercial and project-cost management capabilities.

Job Scope

• Assist in quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and preparation of Bills of Quantities.

• Support the preparation of tenders, quotations, project budgets, and subcontractor comparison reports.

• Review subcontractor quotations, progress claims, and supporting documents.

• Assist in preparing interim payments, variation orders, and monthly progress claims.

• Maintain accurate records of contracts, claims, payments, variations, and commercial correspondence.

• Monitor project costs and report potential cost changes or discrepancies to the project team.

• Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments on commercial matters.

• Support the settlement of final accounts and other contract administration activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.

• Relevant construction qualification or certification issued or recognised by BCA may also be considered.

• Candidates with up to 2 years of relevant construction or Quantity Surveying experience are preferred.

• Basic knowledge of quantity take-offs, cost estimation, progress claims, and contract administration.

• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.
