Occupational Therapist [West]

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 8.30am-5.30pm
Our client is a community hospital that focuses mainly on rehabilitation and long-term care, especially for elderly patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to improve daily living and functional skills
- Conduct therapy sessions to enhance motor skills, coordination, and independence
- Train patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Recommend and train patients on the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress, and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and family members on therapy techniques and home care strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, safety guidelines, and healthcare regulations
- Participate in case discussions, care planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct training to department colleagues
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- Fully registered or eligible for registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
- Valid practising certificate in Singapore (for practicing therapists)
- At least 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred but entry level candidates are welcome to apply too.
- Strong knowledge of therapy techniques, rehabilitation practices, and patient care
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to improving clients’ quality of life
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Good organisational and documentation skills
