Working Location: Jln Ampas (Nearest MRT - Boon Keng)
Job Scope:
Receiving & Inspection
- Receive incoming ship spares from local suppliers, airport cargo terminals, and port facilities.
- Verify quantities, part numbers, and conditions against AWB, CIPL, packing lists, and delivery orders.
- Report discrepancies or damages to the Operations Supervisor immediately.
- Ensure proper identification and tagging of all incoming cargo.
Storage & Inventory Management
- Allocate cargo into designated storage locations based on size, sensitivity, and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Conduct daily and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Picking, Packing & Dispatch
- Prepare ship spares for delivery to vessels, agents, airports, or customers’ premises.
- Pick and pack items according to picklists and delivery instructions.
- Coordinate with drivers and transport vendors for timely dispatch.
- Ensure proper documentation is attached, including DOs, packing lists, and customs paperwork where required.
Cargo Handling & Movement
- Use forklift, pallet jack, or manual handling equipment to move cargo safely.
- Support unstuffing/stuffing of containers and loose cargo handling.
- Follow safe-handling procedures for heavy, fragile, or high-value ship spares.
Documentation & System Updates
- Update WMS with receiving, storage, and dispatch information in real time.
- File and maintain documentation for audit and traceability.
- Assist with preparing reports (e.g., daily receiving reports, inventory summary, cargo movement logs).
Coordination & Customer Service
- Liaise with operations, customer service, and transport teams to ensure smooth cargo flow.
- Assist walk-in customers, vessel agents, and vendors collecting or delivering ship spares.
- Provide accurate updates on cargo readiness and location.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company SOPs and safety regulations.
- Use PPE and follow WHS guidelines at all times.
- Report unsafe practices, near misses, or hazards promptly.
Requirements:
- At least 1 - 2 years of experience in warehouse operations
- With experience in ship spares logistics is an advantage
- Possess Forklift licence
