Programming Teacher for Teenagers and Young Adults

Coding & AI Teacher

The Lab Education Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Coding & AI Teacher to join our team. The role focuses on teaching programming, artificial intelligence and computational thinking to students aged 10 and above .

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and can make technical concepts engaging, practical and easy to understand.

Responsibilities

• Conduct coding, programming and AI lessons for students aged 10 and above.

• Teach primarily using Python , including programming fundamentals, problem-solving and project-based applications.

• Introduce students to AI concepts and guide them in developing their own AI-related projects.

• Adapt teaching methods according to students' age, ability and learning pace.

• Provide guidance and support to students during hands-on coding activities and projects.

• Prepare for lessons and ensure teaching materials and resources are ready.

• Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Maintain a positive, engaging and encouraging classroom environment.

• Communicate professionally with parents regarding students' learning progress when required.

• Participate in school activities, workshops, camps and other educational programmes when required.

Requirements

• Proficient in Python and comfortable teaching programming concepts.

• Strong interest or experience in Artificial Intelligence and coding .

• Able to explain technical concepts clearly to children aged 10 and above.

• Good communication and classroom management skills.

• Patient, responsible and enthusiastic when working with children.

• Able to work independently as well as as part of a teaching team.

• Experience with block-based programming platforms such as Scratch is a plus.

• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred but not mandatory if you have strong programming knowledge and enjoy working with children.

Working Schedule

• Working Days: Wednesday to Sunday

• Both Saturday and Sunday are required working days.

• 5-day work week

• Working hours will include teaching hours as well as preparation and administrative duties.
