Job Description
- Position: Technical Chemist
- Well Established Oleochemicals Supplier MNC
- Working Hours: Monday - Friday (9am - 6pm)
- Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $6,500 + AWS + Variable Bonus
- Working Location: Pasir Panjang

Main Responsibilities:
Customer Technical Servicing
- Provide day-to-day support and guidance on all product and process technical requirements.
- Participate in regular cross-functional meetings to ensure that customer technical requirements are met on time.
- Provide technical advice (e.g., product specifications, applications, quality) to customers, Sales, and the Supply Chain team.
- Manage customer-specific and new product specification requests.
- Answer customer technical questionnaires.
Manufacturing Technical Support
- Provide technical support by working with manufacturing plants in cross-functional teams to assist with process and quality improvements, troubleshooting, and complaint resolution.
- Ensure that technology and quality standards for new and revised formulas/specifications are successfully transferred into manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical expertise to the Engineering department to ensure new projects and plant modifications align with customer expectations and requirements.
Business Development
- Supporting new business opportunities/assessment for currently marketed products as well as for new products framed in the oleochemical industry.
- Participate in the process of analysis and evaluation of new investment projects.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical role within the Oleochemicals or derivatives industry.
- Technical experience within the Oleochemicals or derivatives industry, preferably with downstream exposure, familiarity with application development processes that convert basic oleochemical derivatives into finished, market-ready formulations.
- This position is based in Singapore, with frequent business travel required to Indonesia.
