Junior Accountant | Accounts & Administration
Mahmood Gaznavi Chambers, a law firm, is looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team.
We are seeking a meticulous, organised and motivated individual to support the firm’s day-to-day accounting and administrative functions.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in accounting while gaining exposure to the operations of a professional legal practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the firm’s office and client accounts
- Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping matters
- Prepare invoices, bills and statements of account
- Record and monitor payments and expenses
- Assist with account reconciliation and maintaining accurate financial records
- Maintain proper documentation and filing
- Assist with general administrative and operational matters
- Provide support to the team as required
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and a responsible approach to work
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Prior accounting or administrative experience is an advantage, but not essential
- Experience in a law firm is not required
