About the Company
Our client, a well-established Japanese manufacturing MNC specializing in precision metal components for the electrical, electronics and semiconductor industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily plating production schedules to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery.
- Establish, optimize and monitor plating process parameters to achieve consistent product quality.
- Investigate and resolve production, process, quality and material-related issues.
- Analyze manufacturing problems and implement improvements to increase productivity, reduce defects and lower production costs.
- Develop and maintain work instructions (WI), standard operating procedures (SOPs), engineering drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process automation, tooling and fixture improvements.
- Train production operators on equipment operation, maintenance and best practices.
- Ensure manufacturing targets for quality, productivity and yield are achieved.
- Support Kaizen and other continuous improvement activities.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in a chemical handling or electroplating environment.
- Experience in the plating industry is highly preferred.
- Exposure to Silver Spot Plating will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 , ISO 14001and statistical process control is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to interpret AutoCAD engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently with a systematic approach.
