Network Expert (AI Infrastructure / Data Center Networks / HPC Clusters)

My Client:

My client is a fast-growing AI infrastructure startup focused on building next-generation AI data center (AIDC) facilities across Southeast Asia. The founding team brings together expertise across technology, investment, and infrastructure development.

The Role:

The team is looking for an experienced Network Expert to support the design, deployment, and operation of high-performance networking infrastructure for AI clusters and data center environments.

You will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, storage, and hardware teams to build scalable, reliable, and high-bandwidth network systems that power large-scale GPU computing workloads.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in network planning, architecture design, and topology development for AI data center projects.
• Prepare detailed network implementation documentation, configuration guides, cabling diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot high-performance data center network infrastructure.
• Perform network validation, testing, optimization, and performance tuning for AI and HPC environments.
• Monitor network health, identify bottlenecks, and ensure stable operations across production environments.
• Collaborate with cloud, storage, server, and hardware teams to resolve cross-functional infrastructure issues.
• Support automation initiatives through scripting and operational tooling improvements.
• Participate in on-site deployment and project delivery activities across regional data center locations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Automation, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience in data center networking, infrastructure operations, or network engineering.
• Hands-on experience supporting AI clusters, HPC environments, GPU infrastructure, or large-scale data center networks is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of data center networking technologies, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand and/or Spectrum Ethernet switches is highly desirable.
• Strong Linux networking and performance tuning experience.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Shell scripting for automation and operational tasks.
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards, fiber deployment, and physical network infrastructure.
• Relevant certifications such as CCIE, HCIE, NCDA, or equivalent are advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with regional travel and on-site deployment requirements.
