Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate Retail Assistant Manager to support daily store operations, lead the sales team, maintain store standards, and drive sales targets in a dynamic retail setting.
Responsibilities
- Support the Retail Manager in managing daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
- Lead, motivate, and coach the retail team to consistently achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Deliver exceptional customer service by resolving enquiries and complaints professionally to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain store presentation by ensuring compliance with visual merchandising standards and cleanliness
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely stock replenishment and transfers to prevent stockouts
- Conduct stock counts and assist in accurate inventory management to support operational efficiency
- Manage cashiering duties including cash reconciliation and prepare daily sales reports for management review
- Train and mentor new retail staff on product knowledge and customer service skills to build team capability
- Prepare staff schedules and allocate manpower effectively to meet operational demands
- Ensure adherence to company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards to maintain compliance
- Support store promotions, events, and new product launches to drive customer engagement and sales growth
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 2 years of retail supervisory or assistant managerial experience
- Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in FMCG retail
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using POS or retail inventory systems
