Key Cashier Duties
- Transaction Processing: Scan items, process cash, credit cards, and digital payments, and issue receipts.
- Cash Management: Count the cash drawer at the start/end of shifts and ensure accurate cash flow, including balancing the register (reconciliation).
- Customer Service: Greet customers, answer inquiries, and resolve issues with a positive attitude.
- Store Maintenance & Inventory: Restock shelves, check product expiry dates, and clean the checkout area.
- Security: Monitor for theft and follow security procedures.
Required Skills
- Accuracy: High attention to detail for handling cash and processing sales.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to assist customers politely.
- Basic Math: Ability to calculate change accurately.
