Job Summary
The Sales Engineer will drive growth by identifying new markets, developing customer relationships, and providing technical and commercial support for process analyzer solutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new markets, regions, and customer segments to expand business opportunities
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key customers and strategic accounts to enhance customer loyalty
- Manage client pre-qualification documents, surveys, and compliance submissions to ensure readiness for project engagement
- Respond promptly to new sales enquiries and lead the preparation of accurate, competitive quotations
- Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and contractual conditions to secure profitable deals
- Review, obtain approval, and document all negotiated terms in compliance with Company procedures to mitigate risks
- Own sales forecasting, pipeline management, and opportunity tracking to maintain accurate revenue projections for the region
- Maintain discipline and accuracy in pipeline data to support reliable sales analytics and business planning
- Prepare and submit periodic sales reports to Management to inform strategic decision-making
- Act as the primary commercial interface with customers throughout the sales cycle to ensure alignment and satisfaction
- Support customer meetings, presentations, and technical/commercial discussions to address client needs effectively
- Communicate customer expectations, commercial commitments, and assumptions clearly within internal teams to ensure alignment
- Facilitate smooth handover from Sales to Project Business Unit upon contract award to ensure project success
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical industries, preferably with process analyzers or instrumentation
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills demonstrated through successful client engagements
- Self-motivated and proactive work approach with the ability to operate independently
- Willingness to travel within the region to support business development and customer relations
