Purchasing Executive

The Purchasing Executive is responsible for daily sourcing and purchasing activities for the company, ensuring value, timeliness and quality of goods and services that meet and serve our customers' needs.

Responsibilities:

• Executes daily Purchasing activities, both local and overseas, of stock and non-stock goods and supplies.
• Works closely with management and the warehouse team to ensure efficient supplies and inventory.
• Monitors and follows-up with suppliers on drugs, medical consumables and equipment orders, as well as office supplies.
• Analyses customer needs and sources for drugs / medical consumables and equipment to meet these needs.
• Monitors pricing of products from different distributors.
• Negotiates and contracts with vendors to optimize value.
• Ensures business compliance with regulations and requirements such as HSA, MOH, HPA and other related regulatory bodies.
• Works with suppliers and various departments for self-collect purchases.
• Monitors and follows-up on overseas purchasing, liaising with forwarders for product / cargo delivery.
• Liaise with suppliers to address and resolve supply short-falls and damages.
• Registers new suppliers for the company.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Purchasing/Business/Supply Chain Operations with 3-5 years of relevant purchasing experience.
• Degree/Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science (Clinical Track) with 1-2 years of work experience in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medical devices and products in the medical industry. Familiar with HSA requirements
• Demonstrated capabilities in organization, analytics and communication.
• Takes initiative, is independent, customer oriented and results driven
• High ethical standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft office.
