Airfreight Customer Management Officer

1. Cargo & Shipment Handling
- Verify cargo clearance permits and cargo conditions prior to release to the delivery team.
- Perform checks to ensure all approvals and documentation are in place before shipment release.
2. Shipment Coordination & Follow-Up
- Track and follow up on shipments with customers, carriers, co-loaders, transporters, and overseas agents.
- Handle bookings, shipment tracking, and provide timely updates to clients.
3. Documentation & Communication
- Prepare and manage airfreight documents.
- Handle documentation and correspondence with customers to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.
4. Coordination & Liaison
- Coordinate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure operational efficiency.
5. Data Entry & System Management
- Accurately input shipment details, invoices, and other relevant information into the in-house operations system.
6. Operational Support
- Provide general support to the operations team as needed, contributing to the team's overall performance and workflow.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when dealing with stressed or upset customers.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Previous experience in Customer Support or Call Centre roles is highly preferred.
- Exceptional multitasking abilities with the skill to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- A distinctive personality and a great sense of humor will be highly valued.
