Job Summary
Lead production and purchasing teams to ensure timely fabrication anddelivery of projects. Manage staff recruitment, coordinate with subcontractors,and oversee plant operations while maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the purchasing team to raise and process purchase requisitions aligned with project requirements
- Plan production schedules and manage production teams to ensure smooth fabrication and on-time project delivery
- Conduct interviews and manage recruitment for production staff to build a skilled workforce
- Coordinate with subcontractors to place orders that meet project specifications and timelines
- Facilitate production meetings with foremen and staff to align cross-departmental activities and resolve issues
- Oversee plant and equipment management to maintain operational efficiency and safety
- Implement and monitor production safety practices in compliance with bizSAFE Level 3 standards
- Apply project management skills to drive production progress and meet delivery deadlines
- Analyze production challenges and apply problem-solving techniques to optimize workflow
- Manage diverse, multi-ethnic teams to foster collaboration and high performance
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Interest in the heavy vehicle industry, with automotive experience preferred
- Additional proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, or Malay (written and spoken) to enhance communication
Other Information
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
