Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Quality Control laboratory operations and related support teams
- Oversee analytical, chemical, and microbiological testing activities to support manufacturing operations
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, laboratory practices, and regulatory requirements
- Manage laboratory quality systems, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead and develop QC managers, supervisors, and laboratory personnel
- Support implementation of laboratory strategies, operational plans, and performance objectives
- Oversee laboratory equipment qualification, maintenance, and operational readiness
- Manage analytical method transfers, validation, and verification activities
- Support investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions related to quality and laboratory operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Process Development
- Monitor laboratory performance, safety initiatives, and operational metrics
- Manage laboratory budgets, resources, and capital expenditure planning
- Support site and corporate quality improvement projects and digital initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, data integrity, and documentation requirements
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or related discipline
- Strong experience in Quality Control laboratory management within pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Good knowledge of GMP, GLP, laboratory quality systems, and regulatory requirements
- Experience in analytical methods, laboratory instrumentation, and validation processes
- Familiarity with laboratory systems such as LIMS, HPLC, GC, and Empower software
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience in continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma initiatives is an advantage
