Job Summary
The assistant accountant/senior accounts executive will focus mainly on financial reporting, month-end closing, and compliance matters across multiple entities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the finance team to prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for multiple entities
- Prepare audit schedules and financial statements, coordinating with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Compile consolidated unaudited financial statements for the holding company (dormant) and its overseas subsidiary
- Prepare GST submissions in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage full sets of accounts for clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Compile unaudited financial reports and tax computations to support client needs
- Review team members’ work to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and assist in group financial reporting processes to maintain financial integrity
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies through regular review and control activities
- Execute ad hoc finance duties assigned by management to support operational requirements
Required competencies and certifications
- Accounting qualification and experience in an accounting firm
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of XERO accounting software
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients in Chinese
