Lift Maintenance Manager (Lift Projects)

The Role:

• Supervise and lead a team of lift maintenance staff (zone managers, team leaders and technicians), ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and performing at high standards.
• Develop and implement training programs to ensure the team is up to date with industry practices, safety protocols, and new technologies.
• Assign tasks, manage team workloads, and ensure all maintenance activities are carried out on time and in accordance with safety standards.
• Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews, and address any issues as they arise.
• Ensure timely and effective troubleshooting and repair of any lift breakdowns, managing both planned and emergency repairs, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in compliance with legal and safety requirements, and that records are updated accurately.
• Ensure compliance with all lift safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards (e.g., ISO standards, local laws, etc.).
• Lead safety audits and risk assessments to ensure the safe operation of all lift systems. o Implement and maintain a robust safety culture, regularly conducting safety meetings, training sessions, and audits to minimize risks and ensure safe working practices. o Act as the main point of contact for clients, property managers, and suppliers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Communicate proactively with clients regarding service schedules, planned maintenance, repairs, and any disruptions in lift services. o Address client concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, providing solutions and ensuring long-term satisfaction.
• Monitor and track lift system performance, identifying areas for improvement or potential issues.
• Use data-driven insights to optimize maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and improve service efficiency.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on maintenance activities, service performance, budget status, and any issues for senior management. o Look for cost-saving opportunities and process improvements while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.
• Stay up to date with the latest lift technologies, such as predictive maintenance, IoT, and Lift Enhancements.
• Evaluate and implement new tools, software, or technologies to improve efficiency and maintain a competitive edge in the lift maintenance industry. Collaborate with other departments or external vendors to implement new technologies or upgrades to existing lift systems.

What Do You Need to Have?

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in lift maintenance or related fields, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in managing lift maintenance operations, including team leadership, safety, and client relations.
• Strong technical knowledge of lift systems, components, and related equipment.
• In-depth understanding of lift safety codes, regulations, and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with lift maintenance management software (e.g., GOfm, CMMS).
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and improving performance.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, team members, and senior management.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address operational challenges effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple maintenance works simultaneously.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate effectively, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction and delivering high-quality service.
• Proficient in using digital tools and platforms for scheduling, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry practices.
