IT Executive/Senior IT Executive

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and resourceful IT professional to oversee and administer the organization's computer networks and IT systems. This role is responsible for maintaining computer networks, hardware, software, and related infrastructure to ensure smooth daily operations. The incumbent will also support disaster recovery operations, safeguard systems and data against cybersecurity threats, troubleshoot and replace faulty network hardware components, and manage the procurement of IT equipment and related assets.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and network infrastructure. You should also have good research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and systems. A committed attitude, initiative, and willingness to support operational needs beyond standard working hours when required are essential for this role.

Job Responsibilities

• Setup and configuring computer hardware, networks, printer scanners and necessary peripheral devices.
• Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to requirement and specification.
• Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
• Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
• Implement and monitor daily backup and recovery procedures.
• Ensure all systems are running at optimum performance.
• Organize, schedule and execute upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment as necessary.
• Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
• Identify computer or network equipment shortages, place orders and record movement of IT equipment.
• Any other duties as assigned by Superior/HOD.

Requirements

• Minimum Higher Nitec in Information Technology or other related disciplines.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Fortinet and Zyxel Nebula Cloud will be advantageous.
• Hands-on experience in server and network troubleshooting.
• Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, dedicated, conscientious, and reliable personality.

Desirable Skills /Attributes

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Experience with cloud-based business operation platforms and mobile applications.
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) workflows will be an advantage.
