Job Summary
Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy machinery, construction equipment, and company vehicles to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime at project sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy machinery, construction equipment, and company vehicles to maintain operational readiness
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults to restore equipment functionality
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure equipment remains in good working condition
- Repair and replace defective parts, components, and machinery systems to sustain equipment performance
- Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns at project sites and execute necessary repairs to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, and maintenance activities for compliance and tracking
- Ensure all repair and maintenance work adheres to workplace safety procedures to protect personnel and equipment
- Execute additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management to support team objectives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, preferably in the construction industry
- Hands-on experience repairing heavy construction machinery such as excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, and other construction equipment
- Good knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and basic electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs independently
- Relevant technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field is advantageous
- Physically fit and willing to work at project sites
- Ability to respond to urgent machinery breakdowns when required
- Possession of a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence is advantageous
