Job Summary
You will perform hands-on tasks in water treatment piping systems, including thermoplastic piping, pipe fit-up, welding supervision, pipe cutting and bending, support fabrication, and ISO drawing interpretation to ensure accurate and safe installation.
Responsibilities
- Apply solvent cementing techniques to join PVC and CPVC pipes accurately for water treatment systems.
- Execute butt fusion, socket fusion, and electrofusion welding on HDPE, PP, and PVDF pipes to create secure, leak-proof joints.
- Perform mechanical jointing using flanges and compression fittings to assemble piping components reliably.
- Conduct pipe fit-up, alignment, and positioning during complex installations to ensure precise assembly and system integrity.
- Prepare and inspect pipe joints before welding to verify readiness and compliance with quality standards.
- Assist or demonstrate tack welding and root pass techniques during urgent situations or training to maintain welding quality.
- Supervise or assist in manual and mechanical pipe cutting, beveling, and bending to meet project specifications.
- Fabricate and install pipe supports or guide teams to ensure correct spacing and support type for piping stability.
- Interpret ISO drawings to accurately guide installation and fabrication activities according to design requirements.
