Senior Hairstylist

Job Summary

Perform advanced hairstyling services including cutting, colouring, perming, rebonding, treatment, and styling with expertise in colour correction and complex chemical work. Consult clients on hair condition and recommend suitable services while mentoring junior stylists and maintaining a safe, hygienic workspace.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced cutting, colouring, perming, rebonding, treatment, and styling services to deliver high-quality hair solutions, including colour correction and complex chemical treatments
• Assess customers' hair condition through consultation to recommend appropriate services that meet their needs and preferences
• Guide and mentor junior stylists by demonstrating techniques and enforcing service standards to enhance team performance and client satisfaction
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and safety of workstation, tools, and equipment to comply with health and safety regulations and ensure a safe environment
• Assist with appointment scheduling to optimize salon workflow and manage client bookings efficiently
• Manage stock replenishment to ensure availability of necessary products and supplies for uninterrupted service delivery
• Work independently and supervise junior team members to ensure smooth salon operations and uphold service quality standards
• Adapt to retail working hours, including weekends and public holidays, to meet client demand and support business operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 10 years' hands-on experience as a hairstylist
• Proficient in advanced colouring, chemical services, and precision cutting
• Ability to work independently and supervise junior team members
