Microbiologist

Ugene Lab ( is the premier food testing laboratory. We provide customers with a broad range of microbiological and chemical testing, rapid testing, hygiene monitoring and specialized test methods developed to meet customer needs.

This position is an important role in our organization and an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to advance his/her career in a laboratory while learn and develop your skills in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

· Prepare and perform microbiological testing of food, Chinese medicine, water, and other.

· Participate in the implementation of new test methods and new technologies.

· Perform quality control checks on media, work environment, and equipment.

· Operate robot for lab testing.

· Document results in compliance with ISO 17025 certification requirements. Ensure that high quality standards are maintained at all times in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures and ISO17025.

· Maintain a clean and orderly lab environment.

· Prepare and register samples using the Laboratory Information Management System.

· Assist with other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or other Life Science degree

· Ability to understand and follow complex technical instructions

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Must be able to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.

· Pays close attention to detail and has strong analytical and organization skills

· Highly motivated individual who acts with integrity

· Able to work 5.5 days per week
