We are recruiting a Locum Physiotherapist to conduct home therapy for a client located in the East.
Availability:
- Part-time (2 sessions per week, one hour per session)
- Immediate
- About 1 year duration
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assess the client’s physical condition and mobility needs
- Conduct safe and appropriate physiotherapy sessions twice weekly
- Advise on positioning, transfers, mobility and the prevention of complications
- Teach caregivers safe handling and transfer techniques
- Recommend suitable exercises, routines or equipment where appropriate
- Develop a practical routine that caregivers can continue between sessions
- Monitor the client’s progress and adjust the therapy plan when needed
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Full AHPC Registration
- Relevant experience supporting clients with complex mobility needs
- Experience in caregiver training and safe manual handling
- Physically fit and able to assist safely with hands-on therapy, positioning and transfer-related training
- Patient, reliable and able to communicate instructions clearly
- Committed to providing consistent, ongoing sessions twice per week
