Patient Service Associate, Inpatient/BMU/UCC (2-year Contract) - Alexandra Hospital

Overview (Inpatient Wards/Bed Management Unit (BMU)/Urgent Care Centre (UCC))

As a Patient Service Associate, you will deliver friendly and efficient customer service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all internal and external customers / patients, with the key aim of providing excellent patient care and satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure operational and procedural area readiness based on desired service standards.
• Assist with smooth patient journey including accurate and timely registration, discharge, appointment bookings, cashiering and any other enquiries such as insurance provider's information for billing.
• Provide chaperone assistance to doctors/nurses and prepare consultation documents.
• Attend to any requests, emails, and phone enquiries.
• Assist clinic manager in administrative duties.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least 'O' Levels/Diploma.
• Proficient in computer skills, handling multiple systems will be an advantage.
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to speak a second language will be an advantage.
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates should be comfortable/flexible with working in a hospital setting and in different clinics when needed. Prior experience in hospitality or service industries will be an advantage.
• Be comfortable with working in inpatient wards if required.

Working schedule

• Inpatient Wards: 5 days' work week (Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm or 11am to 8pm, Saturday 8am to 5pm), on 2 rotating shifts.
• Bed Management Unit (BMU) and Urgent Care Centre (UCC): 5 days' work week (Monday to Sunday, inclusive of Public Holidays), on 3 rotating shifts (Morning 7.30am to 3.30pm, afternoon 1.30pm to 9.30pm and midnight 9pm to 8am).

This is a 2-year contract role, subject to contract extension or permanent conversion based on satisfactory work performance.
