Actuarial Assistant Manager

Job Description
- Maintain and enhance the actuarial models. Ensure that actuarial models used for the above activities are accurate, efficient and well documented according to the modelling controls and governance.
- Manage model governance and validation in accordance with internal policy which includes reviewing procedures to maintain model integrity and appropriate model documentation.
- Assist in any ad-hoc actuarial investigations and corporate initiatives from time to time.
- Assist Chief Actuary in monitoring and reporting of value of new businesses, embedded value, solvency projection and other on-going financial condition and performance.
- Prepare movement analysis, attribution, and explanation of changes in the results under various reporting.
- Conduct experience studies to assist Chief Actuary in formulating the best estimate assumptions.
- Preparation of business planning exercise, analysis of potential surplus arising and making recommendations.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Degree in Actuarial Science.
- Minimum 3 - 4 years of working experience in actuarial field.
- Good mathematical and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Able to work independently, self-motivated and outcome oriented.
- Meticulous with a keen eye for detail.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PPT, Access).
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of actuarial projection software: Prophet, DCS.
