About the Role

We are looking for a client-focused Technical Consultant (Junior to Mid-level) who combines software-development capabilities with an interest in business analysis and IT Service Management (ITSM).

You will work on Jira integrations, SQL reporting, workflow automation and other software-development projects. You will also engage directly with customers to understand their business processes, clarify requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.

This role is suitable for a software developer seeking greater customer exposure, a business analyst with hands-on technical capabilities, or someone with experience in Jira, ServiceNow or similar enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage customers to understand business processes, challenges and requirements.

• Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.

• Develop and maintain integrations, reports, workflow automations and smaller software applications.

• Create and maintain SQL queries and operational reports.

• Configure, customise and support Jira, Jira Service Management or similar platforms.

• Integrate enterprise applications using APIs, webhooks and automation tools.

• Investigate technical issues and recommend practical solutions.

• Conduct solution demonstrations, customer presentations and user training where required.

• Prepare technical documentation, user guides and knowledge-transfer materials.

• Coordinate with customers and internal team members to ensure successful project delivery.

• Communicate professionally in English with customers, including those based in the United States.

• Use AI-assisted development tools appropriately to improve productivity and solution quality.

• Stay current with developments in ITSM, workflow automation, enterprise platforms and AI-enabled software development.

What We're Looking For

Candidates should demonstrate capabilities in at least two of the following areas:

• Business analysis and requirements gathering

• Software development

• Jira, Jira Service Management and/or ServiceNow

• ITSM processes and practices

In addition, candidates should have:

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and spoken English.

• Confidence communicating with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

• The ability to understand business needs and translate them into practical solutions.

• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.

• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript or another modern programming language.

• The ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and platforms quickly.

• A responsible, organised and customer-focused approach to work.

• Willingness to accommodate reasonable meeting-time overlap with US-based customers when required.

The scope and level of responsibility will be commensurate with your experience and demonstrated capabilities.

• Junior level (0–3 years): Work on development, integration, reporting and platform-configuration tasks with guidance. Participate in customer discussions, document requirements and develop familiarity with ITSM processes and enterprise platforms.

• Mid level (3–7 years): Work independently with customers, analyse business requirements, design and implement solutions, and take ownership of integration, reporting, automation or platform-related projects with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Experience administering or implementing Jira, Jira Service Management, ServiceNow or a similar enterprise platform.

• Understanding of ITIL or other ITSM practices.

• Experience developing REST API integrations, webhooks or workflow automations.

• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript development.

• Experience creating SQL reports or working with business data.

• Experience in consulting, digital transformation or customer-facing project delivery.

• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum or DevOps practices.

• Experience using AI tools to support analysis, development, testing or documentation.

• Relevant certifications such as Atlassian, ITIL, ServiceNow, Scrum or Agile.

• Proficiency in Business Mandarin Chinese and/or Japanese is an advantage but not essential. English is the primary working language for internal and customer communications.

Salary and Benefits

• Junior level: S$4,000–S$6,000 per month

• Mid level: S$6,000–S$8,000 per month

The final salary and job level will be based on the candidate’s experience, technical capabilities, customer-facing skills and familiarity with relevant platforms and processes.
