Quantity Surveyor (Facade)

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for facade, curtain wall, glazing, cladding, and building envelope works.
• Manage the full tendering process, including tender evaluation, subcontractor comparison, negotiation, and award recommendations.
• Administer subcontract packages, including contract preparation, variation orders (VO), progress claims, payment certifications, and final account settlements.
• Monitor project costs and budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and prepare regular cost reports for management.
• Measure completed works and verify subcontractor and supplier claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements.
• Liaise closely with project managers, engineers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on commercial and contractual matters.
• Prepare and evaluate variation claims, extension of time (EOT) submissions, and contractual correspondence where required.
• Support procurement activities for facade materials and subcontractors.
• Maintain proper project documentation and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
• Assist with project forecasting, cash flow planning, and commercial risk management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-5 years of Quantity Surveying experience, preferably within facade, curtain wall, glazing, cladding, or building envelope projects.
• Familiarity with tendering, BOQ preparation, cost control, variation orders, progress claims, and final accounts.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with CostX, Cubit, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or BIM software will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Experience working with facade contractors, specialist subcontractors, or main contractors will be an advantage.
