Manager (Quick Commerce)

Job Purpose

The FairPrice Group Business Unit is accelerating its quick commerce offerings to deliver groceries and essentials to customers within an hour. You will be a key member contributing towards the Quick Commerce & Omni-Channel Fulfillment department with a specific mandate to lead Last Mile Operations & Logistics Strategy . This position will be responsible for defining the future of our rapid delivery network, managing last-mile performance, architecting vendor-agnostic rider management software blueprints, and optimizing delivery unit economics. You will ensure these operations are operationally viable, integrated with our core platforms, and aligned with organizational growth and service targets.

Responsibilities

• Last Mile Operational Excellence: Manage end-to-end quick commerce delivery performance across the fulfillment network, driving critical operational metrics including DOT , MAWD , order turnaround times, and rider utilization.
• Rider Partnership Strategy: Formulate and execute sustainable last-mile partnership models across 3PL providers, crowdsourced gig fleets, and dedicated courier networks to ensure fleet elasticity during peak demand while optimizing cost-per-delivery (CPD).
• Agnostic Software Blueprint & Strategy: Architect functional blueprints and operational requirements for a vendor-agnostic Rider Management System (RMS) / Fleet Management software that seamlessly integrates with multiple logistics partners and enterprise order management engines.
• P&L & Financial Management: Take ownership of the operational P&L for last-mile delivery design payout structures, optimize unit economics, and manage cost controls without compromising service quality or SLAs.
• Future Business Model Strategising: Partner with leadership to define and iterate the long-term vision for FairPrice's quick commerce operating model, including dark store/hub expansion, delivery zone mapping, and urban logistics innovations.
• Cross-Functional Engagement & Senior Stakeholder Management: Serve as the strategic bridge between ground operations and senior leadership, delivering performance reports, risk assessments, and strategic proposals. Collaborate closely with Tech, Product, Commercial, and Marketing teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer journey.

Job Requirements

RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Quick Commerce, Hyperlocal Logistics, On-Demand Delivery, or E-commerce Last Mile operations.
• Deep operational understanding of key last-mile metrics and fulfillment SLAs ( DOT , MAWD , route optimization).
• Proven track record in structuring, negotiating, and managing commercial partnerships with 3PLs and fleet providers.
• Technical background or experience defining operational requirements for logistics systems, specifically Fleet/Rider Management Software and TMS integrations.
• Demonstrated P&L responsibility and strong financial acumen focused on unit economics, cost allocation, and margin improvement.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and communicating effectively with senior executives and external partners.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process engineering (workflow mapping) mindset.
