Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain private cloud infrastructure to meet business and security requirements.
- Develop cloud architecture strategies aligned with organizational goals and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate private cloud solutions with existing systems.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery capabilities within the private cloud environment.
- Define and enforce governance, security, and operational best practices for private cloud deployments.
- Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization for private cloud resources.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on cloud technologies and architecture.
- Stay updated on emerging private cloud technologies and recommend improvements to existing infrastructure.
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 4 years in cloud architecture roles.
- Proven experience in designing and deploying private cloud solutions (e.g., VMware, Nutanix).
- Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, storage, and security principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Private Cloud Platforms: VMware vSphere, Nutanix.
- Virtualization Technologies: KVM, AHV.
- Networking: SDN, VLAN, VPN, Load Balancing.
- Storage Solutions: SAN, NAS, Object Storage.
- Automation & Orchestration: Ansible, Terraform, vRealize Automation.
- Operating Systems: Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu).
- Security & Compliance: Identity and Access Management, Encryption, Regulatory Compliance (ISO, GDPR).
- Monitoring & Performance Tools: Prometheus, Grafana, vRealize Operations.
- Scripting & Programming: Python, Bash.
