Job Description

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager with strong functional knowledge across SAP SD, MM, and FICO to lead end-to-end SAP projects. The candidate should have proven experience managing cross-functional SAP teams, business stakeholders, vendors, project governance, delivery timelines, risks, budgets, testing, cutover, and go-live activities.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and integration between SD, MM, and FI/CO , preferably with hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA .

Key Responsibilities

Project & Delivery Management

• Lead end-to-end SAP implementation, rollout, enhancement, upgrade, and transformation projects.
• Manage project scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, resources, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Establish project governance, delivery processes, RACI, reporting mechanisms, and escalation procedures.
• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality .
• Prepare project plans, status reports, RAID logs, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Conduct regular project reviews and steering committee meetings.

SAP SD/MM/FICO Functional Oversight

• Provide strong functional leadership and oversight across SAP SD, MM, FI and CO .
• Understand and manage end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) , Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Finance/Controlling processes.
• Ensure effective integration between SD, MM and FICO.
• Review functional designs, solution approaches, configuration, functional specifications, and RICEFW requirements.
• Identify cross-module dependencies and ensure timely resolution of functional and integration issues.

SAP SD

• Strong understanding of sales order management, pricing, delivery, shipping, billing, credit management, and output management.
• Knowledge of O2C processes and integration with MM and FI/CO.

SAP MM

• Strong understanding of procurement, purchase requisitions/orders, goods receipt, inventory management, invoice verification, and vendor/material master data.
• Knowledge of P2P processes and integration with SD and FI/CO.

SAP FICO

• Strong understanding of FI – GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting and CO – Cost Center, Profit Center, Internal Orders, COPA .
• Understand financial integration with SD and MM, including billing, goods movements, GR/IR, vendor/customer accounting, and financial postings.

Implementation & Transformation

• Lead SAP ECC and S/4HANA implementation and transformation programs.
• Experience in Greenfield, Brownfield, rollout, migration, and upgrade projects.
• Drive requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
• Follow SAP Activate / Agile / Waterfall / Hybrid project methodologies.
• Coordinate with SAP functional, technical, integration, data migration, Basis, security, and business teams.

Testing, Data Migration & Cutover

• Lead SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect management, and business validation .
• Coordinate data migration, data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Drive cutover planning, mock cutovers, go-live readiness, and production deployment.
• Lead go-live and post-go-live hypercare/stabilization activities.
• Ensure smooth transition to AMS/support teams.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, IT leadership, implementation partners, and vendors.
• Manage senior stakeholders including CIO, CFO, business heads, process owners, and steering committees.
• Manage vendor deliverables, resource utilization, SLAs, commercials, and contractual commitments.
• Drive issue resolution and escalation management across multiple teams.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of overall SAP experience.
• Strong SAP Project/Program Management experience.
• Strong functional understanding of SAP SD, MM and FICO .
• Proven experience managing large/mid-size SAP implementation or transformation projects.
• Strong SAP S/4HANA experience preferred.
• Experience in end-to-end SAP implementation lifecycle.
• Strong cross-module integration knowledge.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary and/or geographically distributed teams.
• Strong knowledge of project governance, risk, issue, change, and scope management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies .
• PMP / PRINCE2 / SAP Activate certification is an advantage.

Good to Have

• Experience in global/multi-country SAP rollouts.
• Experience with SAP BTP, CPI/PI-PO, interfaces, APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Exposure to SAP Fiori, ABAP, data migration, and integration architecture.
• Experience managing Fixed Price and T&M projects.
• Strong commercial and financial management experience.
• Manufacturing, retail, supply chain, or distribution domain experience.
