Adhoc Kitchen Assistant ($17/hour)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our daily kitchen operations. This role focuses on packing meals, assisting the chef, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness . The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and consistency.

This is a flexible, part-time position with opportunities to grow as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pack cooked meals into containers accurately and efficiently

• Ensure proper portioning, labeling, and sealing of meals

• Assist the chef with basic food preparation (e.g. washing, cutting ingredients)

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and workstations

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools promptly

• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times

• Help with organizing ingredients and kitchen supplies

• Support smooth workflow to meet daily production targets

Requirements:

• WSQ Food Safety Level 1 (preferred, or willing to obtain)

• Prior kitchen or food handling experience is a plus

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail (especially for packing and portioning)

• Good hygiene practices and cleanliness

• Responsible, punctual, and reliable

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly pay of $17/hour (depending on experience)
