Senior Backend Engineer
About the role
We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join a large-scale public sector digital programme in Singapore. You will work within a multi-disciplinary delivery team building and running mission-critical public-facing systems on Azure.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop server-side application logic
- Build and maintain APIs and microservices
- Perform database design and optimisation
- Implement security and performance controls
What you will bring
- Minimum 5 years in backend microservices; projects of 1,000+ man-days; led a team of at least 5 members
- Java/.NET/Node.js
- REST/GraphQL APIs
- SQL/NoSQL
- Microservices
- Azure
- CI/CD
- Git
- Security best practices
Qualifications & certifications
- Degree/Diploma in CS/IT or related
Work arrangement
- Location: Singapore, on-site at client premises
- Employment type: Contract / Permanent / Full Time
- Working days: Monday to Friday
- The successful candidate must be able to obtain the required government security clearance before starting
- Candidates with existing CAT security clearance will be preferred
