Tax (Senior Associate / Assistant Manager)

Description

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Consultant to provide expert advice and support on tax-related matters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and providing tailored solutions to clients.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients or internal stakeholders on tax strategies to optimize financial outcomes.
• Provide guidance on corporate tax, personal tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax, and other applicable taxes.
• Assist in structuring business transactions to ensure tax efficiency and compliance.
• Prepare, review, and file accurate tax returns, ensuring adherence to local and international tax laws.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on clients or the organization.
• Ensure timely submission of all required tax filings and payments.
• Represent clients or the organization during tax audits and resolve tax-related disputes with authorities.
• Compile and organize supporting documentation for tax audits and investigations.
• Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and provide clear recommendations.
• Analyze financial data and transactions to identify potential tax liabilities and savings opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients or internal teams to understand their tax needs.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Work closely with finance, legal, and accounting teams to ensure integrated tax solutions.
• Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on tax-related matters, as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or Chartered Tax Advisor certification preferred).
• Proven experience in tax advisory or compliance, ideally in a consultancy or multinational corporation.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in tax software and financial management tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
