Role: Java Application / Production Support(L1/L2)
Job Location: (Changi Business Park), Singapore
Job Type: Contract

Kindly take note of the following details for shift work

Transport is claimable - before 7am (for morning shift 6am to 3pm), after 11pm (afternoon shift 2pm to 11pm)

Shift Timing

• Morning shift 6am to 3pm
• General shift 9am to 6pm.
• Afternoon shift 2pm to 11pm
• Night shift 10pm to 7am.

Need to support including night shift, weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 production support for 24x7 Core Banking applications.
• Monitor application health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Coordinate and support infrastructure maintenance activities.
• Manage production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and work towards permanent fixes.
• Support implementation of new application releases while following release management best practices.
• Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, security teams, and change management teams to ensure seamless production support.
• Enhance and continuously improve support processes to maintain and improve service quality.
• Monitor applications using tools such as Prometheus, Elasticsearch, and Grafana.
• Perform application troubleshooting using Java, SQL, and Unix/Linux.
• Execute SQL queries and Unix commands for issue investigation and resolution.
• Support job scheduling, messaging queues (MQ), and file transfer processes (C:D) where applicable.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and operational procedures.
• Participate in shift support and production support activities as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 1-3+ years of experience in Application/Production Support or Java Development.
• Experience supporting banking or financial services applications is preferred.
• Good understanding of Core Banking applications and banking operations.
• Experience with Sunline Core Banking is an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of Java/J2EE applications.
• Hands-on experience with SQL queries and Unix/Linux commands.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Elasticsearch, and Grafana.
• Knowledge of ticketing systems and incident management processes.
• Exposure to job scheduling, MQ, and Connect:Direct (C:D) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and meet SLA commitments.
