Wire Harness Technician / Cable Harness Technician

Core Responsibilities
- Cable Preparation: Cut, strip, crimp, and shield wires accurately according to engineering drawings and work specifications.
- Assembly: Route and bind cables using conduit sleeves, cable ties, and connectors.
- Quality Testing: Inspect assemblies with microscopes and test electrical continuity using multimeters or diagnostic tools. [1, 2, 3]
Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of crimping standards, soldering, and reading schematic diagrams.
- Education: Many entry-level roles in Singapore accept Institute of Technical Education (ITE) graduates or offer on-the-job training.
