What You’ll Do
- Provide intensive intervention and support to CYPs and families.
- Conduct needs and risk assessment in accordance with the service framework.
- Implement and follow up on case plans and interventions.
- Work with community stakeholders to address systemic barriers to reunification.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the interdisciplinary team to facilitate decision making on case plans for the clients.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree or Masters in Social Work with minimum 2 years (or minimum 4 years for Senior Social Worker position) of related work experience in children, youth or family work.
- Willing to work after office hours as this is a 24/7 based service and flexibility in work arrangement is expected.
- Demonstrates good understanding of reunification work, trauma and attachment theories, and child and adolescent development.
- A positive attitude with the ability to think out of the box.
- Ability to manage stress and crisis effectively while making calm and informed decisions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills – able to work individually and within a team, relate easily to other people, particularly children, and form positive working relationships.
- Proficiency in English is required. Ability to communicate in additional languages or dialects is an advantage to support the communication needs of children and families from diverse backgrounds
