AI Cloud Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Research Scientist to join Bosch's Research and Development team in Singapore. As part of our global research organization, the Singapore team focuses on advancing sustainability through innovative digital and AI-driven technologies.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of intelligent HVAC and building solutions by bridging research and deployment. You will lead the development, deployment, and validation of cloud-based AI solutions, transforming research prototypes into scalable, production-ready systems that deliver measurable business and customer value.

Working closely with global research teams, business units, and external partners, you will contribute to Bosch's long-term innovation strategy while driving the commercialization of cutting-edge AI technologies.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Drive innovation in Urban Solutions and Sustainability, with a focus on intelligent and sustainable HVAC systems, IoT-enabled services, indoor environmental quality, occupant comfort, and energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with Bosch business units and external stakeholders to identify market opportunities, define customer-centric problem statements, conduct user and customer studies, and develop innovation proposals and research roadmaps.
• Lead the end-to-end development and operationalization of AI-powered solutions, from data acquisition, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation to cloud deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Design and implement robust, scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures for machine learning applications, ensuring reliable deployment and operation of AI services in production environments.
• Establish and manage MLOps pipelines, including automated training, testing, deployment, model monitoring, performance tracking, and continuous improvement processes.
• Plan, supervise, and evaluate field trials and pilot deployments of AI-enabled solutions, ensuring rigorous validation under real-world operating conditions.

What We're Looking For(Qualifications & Skills)

• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, with demonstrated research or industrial experience in AI, IoT, or cyber-physical systems.
• Strong expertise in machine learning and AI model development, including data preparation, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Proven experience deploying and operating AI solutions on public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), including cloud-native architectures, containerization, orchestration, and scalable inferencing services.
• Hands-on experience in MLOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, model serving, monitoring, versioning, and lifecycle management.
• Demonstrated ability to design cost-efficient cloud infrastructures and optimize AI workloads for performance, scalability, reliability, and operational cost.
• Knowledge of IoT systems, sensor data analytics, time-series analysis, anomaly detection, predictive modeling, or edge-to-cloud architectures is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate research outcomes into business impact.
• Passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship, and creating sustainable technologies that transition successfully from research prototypes to deployed products.
