Job Summary
Lead machining operations by planning, coordinating, and overseeing production cycles from part design to fabrication, ensuring quality standards and equipment maintenance in alignment with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Machining Manager and implement company Quality policies and objectives
- Communicate and ensure full understanding of the company’s Quality policy among staff
- Plan machining work to meet production schedules and customer specifications
- Oversee daily operations to ensure production cycles are completed efficiently from part design through fabrication
- Coordinate and direct machining work according to customer requirements and industrial standards
- Troubleshoot technical and production issues to maintain smooth workflow
- Maintain accurate records of work in compliance with company procedures
- Ensure machinists properly maintain equipment and tools to support operational efficiency
- Enforce good housekeeping practices for machines, equipment, and the shop floor to maintain a safe and organized work environment
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum ITE qualification in mechanical or equivalent
- At least 3 years of relevant machining experience
- Familiarity with API 6A, API 16A, and other relevant industrial standards
- Strong CNC machining background with proficiency in Mastercam software
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Demonstrated management skills to effectively lead and coordinate machining teams
