Overview
As a Senior Video Artist within Level Infinite's internal creative studio (ICC), you are the craftsperson who turns a live game into premium marketing content. You will own the capture and editorial process across a diverse portfolio of AAA titles — navigating specialised marketing and debug builds to source captivating footage, then assembling it into edits that surpass the expectations of both partner studios and audiences.
This is a senior individual contributor role. The emphasis is on craft and hands-on delivery rather than line management: you will be in the build, on the timeline, and accountable for the quality of what leaves your desk. You are equally comfortable with the technical realities of game capture — debug cameras, capture tooling, engine editors, non-final builds — and with the storytelling craft of cinematography and edit.
Key Responsibilities
- Source captivating game capture content using marketing builds, debug builds and in-engine editors across a range of proprietary engines and Unreal Engine 5
- Work directly with partner development teams to specify, request and troubleshoot the marketing builds needed to deliver a project
- Assemble captured material into cohesive, premium-quality sequences and edits, from initial creative concept through to final picture lock
- Create edits and concepts that execute on, and elevate, the creative vision of a production
- Deliver versioning, cutdowns and platform-specific variants to the required specifications and deadlines
- Utilise GFX and VFX for projects in conjunction with the wider CGI team
- Demonstrate creative problem-solving to address issues with buggy, incomplete or non-standardised game builds
- Act as a technical point of contact on capture pipelines, debugging tools and build access
- Document capture setups, build requirements and findings, adding to the growing knowledge base of the team
- Collaborate closely with Production, the Head of Art and the wider ICC leadership across all work and clients
- Keep up to date with game engine systems, capture technology and editorial tooling
- Mentor and elevate the cinematic eye of the wider team through craft example rather than line management
Requirements
- Experience: +6 years of video, capture or cinematic work in Games, TV, feature film or entertainment, with a history of shipping high-profile marketing content
- Capture Craft: Demonstrable experience sourcing footage from marketing and debug builds, including debug camera systems, in-engine capture tools and non-final builds
- Editorial Craft: Strong editing proficiency and a firm understanding of edit pipelines and workflow (Premiere Pro, Avid or DaVinci Resolve)
- Artistic Eye: A demonstrable 'artistic eye' for cinematics and high-quality production, with strong knowledge of cinematography and related terminology
- Technical Aptitude: Confident with game engines, capture tooling and debugging tools, and able to adapt quickly to new technical environments
- Problem Solving: Exceptional creative problem-solving skills, particularly when working with buggy builds, incomplete assets or shifting production environments
- Communication: Clear, calm and solutions-oriented communication, with good time management across a distributed team
