Facilities Maintenance Officer

You will manage and coordinate building maintenance and project works by conducting site inspections, preparing reports and cost estimates, liaising with subcontractors and clients, and ensuring safety and quality compliance on project sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and respond promptly to maintenance fault calls and feedback to ensure timely resolution
• Perform site surveys to collect accurate measurements and relevant information for maintenance planning
• Prepare detailed maintenance reports and complete fault closure documentation to track work progress
• Develop project quotations, cost estimates, and budget sheets to support financial planning and approvals
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations and coordinate site work schedules
• Plan and coordinate maintenance work schedules to optimize resource allocation and minimize downtime
• Conduct safety briefings and supervise site works to enforce safety standards and maintain quality control
• Monitor work progress and submit regular reports to management for project tracking and decision-making
• Coordinate with clients, users, and consultants to resolve site issues and ensure stakeholder satisfaction
• Prepare progress claims and follow up on outstanding works and account closure to maintain project cash flow
• Perform other duties as assigned and be stationed at project sites as required to support operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Building, Construction, Facilities Management, or related disciplines
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Integrated Facilities Management (IFM), building maintenance, or construction
• Knowledge of building maintenance operations and relevant contracts to support effective project execution
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports and documentation
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage for interpreting technical drawings
• Ability to prepare project costing, quotations, and budget sheets accurately
• Strong communication and coordination skills to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure smooth site operations
• Willingness to work at assigned project sites to oversee and support maintenance activities
• Availability for a 5.5-day work week schedule
