Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost estimates, manage budgets, evaluate quotations, and coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure effective cost control and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, quotations, and tender submissions for architectural projects to support financial planning and bidding processes
• Accurately take off quantities and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) to quantify project scope and costs
• Monitor project costs continuously to ensure adherence to budgets throughout the project lifecycle
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to select cost-effective and reliable vendors
• Prepare progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts to manage project financial documentation and payments
• Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, architects, project managers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution
• Review architectural drawings and specifications to assess costing and procurement requirements

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Architectural QS or Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant Quantity Surveying software to perform cost analysis and reporting
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage stakeholders and manage contracts
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines with minimal supervision
• Good knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and cost management principles

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Knowledge of Interior Design or Interior Fit-Out Works to enhance project scope understanding
• Ability to read and interpret interior design drawings and specifications for accurate costing
