Procurement Officer (electronics and mechanical industry)
Location: Bedok South
Working Days: Mon - Fri, 5 days
Working Hours: 8.00 am to 5.30pm
Salary: Basic $3000 to $4000+PB+AWS+Annual Increment
Job scope:
- Source, identify, research, and evaluate suppliers and stockists that meet the organization's requirements for quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
- Identify sales promotions, supplier rebates, and other cost-saving opportunities to achieve procurement savings.
- Assess supplier capabilities and products to ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality requirements, and delivery commitments.
- Analyze supplier quotations, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, and execute purchases within approved authority limits.
- Manage and monitor customer forecasts, inventory levels, production schedules, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders to support operational requirements.
- Track and follow up on purchase orders with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and communicate order status to internal stakeholders.
- Source alternative suppliers and stockists to mitigate supply disruptions and ensure business continuity.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure key objectives relating to Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Flexibility (QDCF) are consistently achieved.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and strategic partners to support long-term business objectives.
- Liaise with customers regarding obsolete parts management, last-time buys, and alternative sourcing solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable aerospace or manufacturing requirements.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline with at least 2 years of procurement or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of AS9100 Aerospace Quality Management Systems and/or ISO 9001 requirements.
- Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
