About the Role
Reports directly to the Managing Director. You are to serve as Qualified Person and manage a team of engineers to ensure safe structural design and excellent delivery of service to clients.
- Serve as Qualified Person (QP) and responsible for PE endorsement for projects assigned
- Responsible for the profitability and cost efficiency of your team
- Project coordination/management
- Lead projects and attend meetings
- Supervise and inspect construction works.
- Managing and supervising technical/site staff and administrative functions of the projects.
- Provide guidance and manage engineers in the team to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of service.
- Check critical design calculations and specifications of the project prior to approving all C&S related documents and drawings produced in the projects prior to submission to regulatory authorities.
- Able to be hands-on to carry out detailed analysis and design of civil, structural, and geotechnical works
- Able to be hands-on in preparing design calculation reports and structural drawings for authorities' submissions;
- Able to coordinate with various stakeholders such as clients, consultants, and contractors for projects
Knowledge & Skills
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or its equivalent
- Local design experience in C&S engineering work & conversant with Singapore Building Codes and Practices
- Familiarity with engineering software (e.g. Tedds, StaadPro, Prota, Etab) and submission procedures to regulatory authorities
- Strong report writing skills to prepare and furnish reports
- Registered with Singapore PE Board as Professional Engineer
- Willing to sign as signing QP
