Job Summary

To oversee daily salon operations, lead staff, and deliver excellent customer service to ensure profitability and maintain high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, onboard, and train stylists and support staff to build a skilled and motivated team
• Conduct staff performance evaluations and manage payroll to maintain workforce efficiency and accuracy
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and smooth salon operations
• Open and close the salon while ensuring compliance with sanitation and health regulations
• Monitor and maintain salon equipment functionality to support uninterrupted service delivery
• Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Drive retail and service sales by managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and executing marketing promotions
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly financial performance to meet budget and profitability goals
• Manage cash flow, process POS transactions, and oversee staff commissions to maintain financial accuracy
• Utilize salon management software and Microsoft Office tools to streamline operations and reporting
• Maintain high organizational standards and attention to detail in a fast-paced salon environment

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven experience managing a salon
• Valid cosmetology license
