Senior SAP Consultant

Position Overview: As a Senior SAP Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of SAP implementation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients. Leveraging your extensive experience in project management and SAP methodologies, you will lead cross-functional project teams, manage stakeholders, and drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution: Lead the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets for SAP implementation projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational objectives. Execute project plans and monitor progress against key milestones and deliverables.
2. Resource Management: Allocate resources, including project team members, consultants, and external vendors, to ensure the timely completion of project tasks and activities. Monitor resource utilization and adjust allocations as necessary to optimize project performance.
3. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, project sponsors, steering committees, and executive leadership, to ensure alignment and support throughout the project lifecycle. Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
4. Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle, escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution and minimize project disruptions.
5. Quality Assurance: Establish quality standards and processes for SAP implementation projects and ensure compliance with organizational standards, methodologies, and best practices. Conduct regular reviews and assessments to monitor project quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
6. Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to support the adoption of SAP solutions by end-users and stakeholders. Ensure effective communication, training, and support mechanisms are in place to facilitate smooth transitions and minimize resistance to change.
7. Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial performance against planned targets. Identify variances and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure projects remain within budget constraints and achieve targeted profitability.
8. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with SAP implementation partners, third-party vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations. Negotiate contracts, statements of work, and service level agreements as needed.
9. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes, methodologies, and tools. Capture lessons learned from completed projects and apply them to future engagements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in project management, with a demonstrated track record of leading SAP implementation projects from initiation to closure.
• Strong understanding of SAP methodologies, including ASAP and SAP Activate, as well as project management frameworks such as PMBOK.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional project teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Experience with Agile and/or hybrid project management methodologies is a plus.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or SAP Solution Manager.
